E90 will stay current!!
Wohoo!! I like it very much. At least the fact that it is not that radically different from the E90, but one might be able to tell only when they present it without all the camouflage and at close range. Maybe that means that our E90īs will not look as dated as it happens when you see it against an E46... If these "entwicklungs" last about 7 years, then I will make plans , maybe in 2015, to upgrade my e90 to a 2013 F30...wouldnīt go for the first model on the new car, I think many small bugs tend to appear on that first incarnation and tend to be resolved on the second year. Anyway I like it very much, hope they reveal it soon!

This just means BMW is finally waking up and putting tires that fit this size car instead of the current 3 and X3 that have tiny wheel/tires.

I would love to see this in real life. I love the E90 but I can't afford it brand new yet. Definitely in 2014/15 where the F30 bugs will be fixed. So far, F30 looks good.

Definitely looks good. Im still unsure about the Nav Screen. I hope it is like the new 6 series, which is fixed, and not a fold down. No need to go back to GEN 1 X3's with the flip up nav!
The Electronic gear shift i hope points towards the 8 speed auto, since when you have that many gears you could really get the revs up quick with the new N20 Engine... |

Good question. One of the pictures shows a small screen with the the plastic around it, very similar to the X3's without nav have. Unfortunately, I cannot recall if that was an early testing model I saw it on. if it was, then it could be that it was a parts bin dash at that time.

Insofar as the sedan goes, I'm waiting for the unveiling of the F30 and, on the contrary, hoping it's going to look materially different then the E90. However, based on the spy pics so far, it's seems to look like a mini-F10 which I'm not so crazy about (still better than the Banglized E60 though, but that's not saying much). Given this, I'm likely going Audi (probably S4) which has better performance than the 335i but is, IMO, is a much better design. |

I am sure that BMW sees this as a weight/packaging issue, but if RFTs were so good, why haven't more manufacturers gone that way? In poll after poll on internet message boards, this is one of the top complaints from BMW enthusisasts. Clearly, we were not listened to re the F30. Anyway, the F30 looks pretty good, so no doubt BMW will sell a ton of them. |

Now with the IAA a distant memory. It is business as usual for Germany's auto media. And with imminent arrival of the new F30 3er Sedan in a just over two weeks time attention turns to the latest developments regarding BMW. They also weigh in on the 4er Coupe etc...

Could someone find the picture of the blue F30 on the top left corner of the magazine cover. We need a larger high quality pic of those. The bumper and headlights on that F30 drawing is pretty accurate to the actual final design of the F30.

Autobild have fixed their previous attempt.
www.autobild.de And they also publically announce the official date of October 14. I guess it can now become public knowledge, even though many already knew.
