Actually fixed the issue, as per Shawn's advice, though I couldn't get .net 3.5 to install, the rest did, and it Launcher seems to go now

I did a simple upgrade to win 10 and it has fixed the issue.

Hi everyone, specially Shawn whose name I have seen everywhere I have been on bimmerpost.

I am fairly new to ESYS and am currently coding adaptive headlight driver modules both sides. I have made some progress but frankly failed to get it working. This F30 RHD 2014 came with adaptive from factory. Needed replacement headlights and driver modules.

Starting off the first issue I ran into was getting the CAFD (cafd_00000794_017_068_102) file under FEM, it was non existant. So did a detect CAF and generated the cafd (which was slightly different the last number is 101 instead of 102).
Now when I edit FDL under FEM I don't get the name of the MODULES in the daten list. And search result is nil. So havent been able to code the headlight driver modules on this f30.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can't help specifically with this but have you checked you have the latest psdzdata files ?
Shawn will provide a link if you need one and I've always found him extremely helpful as long as you've made an effort to eliminate anything silly and provide him with all pertinent information

I have been able to sort that problem out as well. I think I needed the Token master premium launcher.
Unfortunately couldn't get to the bottom of my problem with the TMS driver modules. I have coding error fault code even though I VO coded out 524 and coded it back in. As soon as I do that the fault codes reappear. So I have for now totally removed the adaptive headlights option from the car. Don't see the adaptive headlights failure light anymore. I am not sure though if the lights will be working fine as they are originally adaptives. Everything turns on.

Edit FA ,Add to 5A2 and back to code.And then select FEM to coding.
but frist，you want to read to the ECU, and then the ECU list appears ELE TMS or FLE TMS.
Select ELE, and then detect CAF for swe.
then finsing job.

Are you running Win10 ?

E-Sys is not happy with the current full release.

Yes but i had no problem in 2018 since 2019 it stopped so i think the license by tokenmaster is dispierd. And i dont want to work with a vm

Which build of Win10 are you running ?

It's Win 10 1809 Build 17763.134 (the latest current build) that is known to have issues. I had to update to one of the later insider builds (18290) to get E-Sys working again.

Just to update this, it does look like Tokenmaster put an expiry date (31/12/2018) in the free token file.

Just tested on my diagnostic laptop, and had the same issue. After reading this:

I changed the system date to 16/06/2018, ran the .BAT file, and everything is working again.

It appears that you do. Launcher fires up just fine, but it doesn't then launch E-Sys. Not on my laptop anyhow.

Running the .BAT file appears to reset Launcher so it generates a new token each time.

anytime i change my system date and try to launch esys launcher it doesnt ever load up. when i reset my system date to today it loads up and asks for a pin?

ive changed my date to 15.06.2018
successfully ran the BAT file as admin
tried to launch esys launcher but it still doesnt open?

any ideas?

Best to just switch to Bimmercode, it’s £25 for the app and £20 for the V Link adapter and then there’s no more complications, and it’s so much quicker and easier to use!
