BMW F32 4 Series Coupe Spotted Again - in White This Time
BIMMERPOST NEWS BMW F32 4 Series Coupe Spotted Again - in White This Time We're happy to share the best spyhots of the F32 4 series coupe to date. Days after the first ever spotting of the F32 4 series coupe, our spies have caught another F32 prototype, this time in white. Compared to the recently unveiled F30 3 series sedan, the 4 series coupe will have a more muscular and sleek appearance. The shoulder line at the rear quarter panel is more pronounced and the roofline lower. These shots also allow us a better look at the shape of the rear windows and the famous Hofmeister kink. Keep in mind that the car looks larger than it actually is due to some of the camouflage paneling, particularly on the front fascia. The heavy camouflage on the front and rear also obscure the headlight and tail light shapes, so no, the lights will not be those round shapes Expect 4- and 6-cylinder turbocharged petrol engines powering the 428i and the 435i and similar design lines as in the F30 3 series. The F32 4 series coupe will hit the market in the second half of 2013. Stay tuned for more information and enjoy our ongoing coverage in the meantime: http://www.bimmerpost.com/3-series/f30/ ** Click images for larger resolution versions. |

the sizing is ridiculous. this is probaly the same length as E63 6-series or somewhere like Toyota Solara
big, long overhangs don't belong on BMWs. wheelbase is way too long. either makes this car as sedan only and make coupe with shorter wheelbase. |

I still choke on the concept of a "4-series" that's really a 3 series. wtf BMW. lame. sedan ftw I guess.

Whereas the F30 is not that huge of a leap from the e90, this is going to be a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT car in terms of shape and size.
I, for one, am excited at the notion of a fresh new design (I've heard 'Baby 6 series') for the coupe, and I think you all are a bit premature on your judgement. That's why we're here though, to make comments and pass judgement, so have at it!!

I sincerely hope that rear overhang is due to the camo panels...

I hope it looks better after they take the camo off. Profile looks a lot like a Mustang right now.

As someone who's already picked an E82 over an E92 because of outward size, I imagine the difference in the F32 and F22 will become even more noticeable. Pity about the F20 front end.

Way too big with the wheelbase and the overhangs.
It was funny because I was sorta confused when I saw 428i and 435i. What an absolute disaster.

Look at the two pictures below. There is almost no difference in overhang length, and any different comes from the deceptive camo pattern and BMW's added body pieces that accompany the pattern. Stop whining, for christ's sake. It's just a car. YOU'RE NOT BUYING THE CAMOUFLAGED CAR. And if you hate it when it's unveiled, YOU DON'T HAVE TO BUY IT. |

I really hope they add the windows that open in the rear to this generation.

Like everybody else SHOULD be doing, I will reserve judgement until I see the final production design. Ok maybe I'll start to have some judgements when I see some FEP prototypes, but that is the earliest. Fact of the matter is we don't have a clue what this thing will look like, we don't know about overhang length. The only thing we know is that it has 2 doors. Keep the spy shots coming in though, I hope to see more and more.
