The engine sounds whiny and underwhelming. The exhaust, on the other hand, sounds superb for a stock, non-Performance unit!
And yeah, those throws are massive.

The 8 speed has to be an improvement over the old 6 speed auto.

i think they're positioned fine imo. compared to the mini....they're leaps and bounds of improvement. i'll miss the pop-out cup holders though. that was clean...

at least the 4 banger wont sound like a honda will definitely be getting the 335i. the n20 gets great gas mileage and all but i just dont like it. it is really loud at idle. almost sounds like valves ticking but apparently it is normal

I believe they have covers. I thought I saw in one of the videos released when the car was launched where the cover is removed to reveal the cup holders. I have always thought the hide away cup holders in the E90 to be a fantastic design and I think BMW regressed a bit with the new design. Right now it seems to me that if you put a slightly tall cup in there like a coffee mug or something and you drive a stick you will be hitting your knuckles against the cup. If it turns out to be so then the new design will be a total fail IMO.
