The highly anticipated M Sport Package for the new F30 3-series sedan has made another appearance, this time at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. While earlier shows and presentations saw the 335i M Sport, this is the first time we see a 328i getting the M Sport treatment. As most should know, the exterior color is called Estoril Blue II and it's exclusive to the M Sport package.

This car is also fitted with the M Sport Brakes comprising of fixed piston calipers painted in blue at all 4 corners (4-piston units at the front, 2-piston units at the rear).

The M Sport Package for the F30 3-series will be available as of July 2012 production, with first US deliveries to be expected in September.

Check out our full Guide to the M Sport package for more information. And if this isn't special or 'aggressive' enough for your liking, there's also the just-launched M Performance parts program which is meant to compliment the M Sport model (full details HERE).

Too friggin awesome! Now it looks like a real BMW from the front!

EDIT: Just noticed, it's a 328! I thought the M-Sport was originally going to only be available for only the 335? Or maybe I read wrong?

M-sport is perfect for F30

BTW is there something wrong with me or the front BMW badge in the 25th picture is not mounted straight ??

Nice wheels! I assume the M-sport brakes are an add-on and not part of the package? Given they match the color of the car, they are cool in an understated way, perhaps like the 4 banger under the hood?

Whether the M Sport Brakes will be included in the US M Sport package or be a separate stand alone option hasn't been decided yet.

It doesn't look like its mounted straight in 24-26. Poor quality control.

So does the M sport front bumper have the air curtain from the 1M? In the 25th picture I see daylight coming out the back side of the fog lamp. Is this how the air curtain is being adapted?

Yep, all F30 models feature the air curtain, including M Sport.

Best regards,

First things first: Esotoril Blue II is stunning. That said here are a few of my observations about the car.
--Great job BMW for not even checking the quality control of a FREAKING INTERNATIONAL AUTO SHOW DISPLAY CAR to see if, oh, things like the badges are on straight. What hope does that give those of us buying cars off the 'regular' production line?
--Why does the M Sport, the pinnacle of the lineup, have wimpy-ass 225s in the rear? Is the F30 hiding some dirty secret that involves lack of room in the fenders? Once these cars are in the hands of the tuners, that contact patch will be less than adequate. The e90 ZSP cars had 255s out back. What gives?
--I give those big brakes a snowball's chance in hell of making it to the U.S. as standard equipment. U.S. buyers will freak out at the sight of a $5000 sport package.
--I sincerely hope the factory gives the car a bit more power in M Sport guise, even if it's 10 or 15 horses.
--Why no interior shots?

It's a mistake, M Sport comes with 255s in the rear.

There will be no power bump for the M Sport.

It's not an M3 though. You get the badges on the rims, doorsills and steering wheel...that's enough.
