Today I retrofited an entrynav system with gps from a 10/2015 BMW X3 F25 on my 05/2014 BMW F20.

The problem is when I do "code" to the entrynav system an error comes up (cafd_00000ded-003_014_012 NotExecutable). In order to solve that I upgraded my psdzdata lite version from 4.20.31 to 63.3. but the error is still there.

Could you assist me, please?

Btw, the I-Step of my car is F020-14-03-503.

Error means Coding is invalid. If VO Coding, then FA is not right. If FDL COding, then FDL parameter is incorrect.

I did VO coding I think. I only did two things on FA: 1 - removed option 663 and replaced it with the option 606; 2 - removed option 6VB and added option 6NS. After that I did "Detect CAF for SWE" and "code" to the module and then the error comes up.

What do you think is the problem?

I imagine FA needs more changes then just this and FA may need a newer build date (Zeitkriterium) for new Head Unit.

I have good news. I went to the car and I did a change on the FA. I re-added the option 6VB and changed the option 6NH to 6NS. Then I did the same procedures that I did before and boom no errors and everything was green on the coding menu.

Unfortunately, now I have another problem. My Idrive screen doesn't show any information. Only lights up. This is an incompatibility of the screen or do I need to adjust it with FDL coding?

P.S If i select the option "code default values" the screen shows information but just the basics. Works like it's not coded for the car.

I have no way of knowing if Screen is Hardware issue or Coding issue.

Don't ever use "code default values". It is not what it appears. This is a factory default condition without regard to your car's actual FA. Often after using, ECU is not recoverable. Button should be named "Screw Me" instead.

You were right! On entrynav the options are different: You have an option called DISPLAY_SIZE_RESOLUTION on a sub-menu, and another option called DISPLAY_VARIANT on other sub-menu.

You can't generate a ROUTE Map FSC Code. But beyond Map FSC Code, are you using an Emualtor / CAN Filter for Activation of all the other Donor FSC Codes for Nav Application, Nav Enabler, Voice Control, Text-To-Speech, BMW Apps, etc.)?

I'm not using an emulator yet. I looked on ebay for emulators and the prices are away to expensive (around 50 to 70 euros). Also there are some people here, in Portugal, that charge 100 euros to activate the system without the emulator. In my opinion that's to much money for a simple activation.

If we compare the prices I think it's better pay a little bit more and have the system working like a factory car. Also I'm concerned about using the emulator because I have to take my car to the dealer in order to do a recall and register all the service history because they didn't have done it before, when the car had another owner.

Isn't there any way to generate a code, by myself, to activate the system?

I got bad news for you. If you think those prices are expensive, you are driving wrong car.

If you want OEM Activation for just Nav, it is about $600 USD, and if you want all OEM FSC Codes (Nav, Voice, Apps, etc.) it is about $1200 USD. Your only real choice is the Emulator, and 50-70 Euro is a bargain.

The 100 Euro FSC Set, are non OEM FSC Codes that requires patching Head Unit, but it is only possible for CIC, NBT, and NBT2, not your ENTRYNAV Head Unit.

And no, you cannot do this yourself. Excluding the map FSC Code, all the other OEM FSC Codes are digitally signed files with BMW's digital Key.
