Black / yellow color scheme?

I have some scratches on my front bumper from someone running against my car in a parking lot, my car is black but I've been thinking about repainting it all yellow and doing a few things. I'd keep the side mirrors black & the spoiler that comes up black, lower it a bit, add new tires with black rims, and change the grill to all black, but I don't know how it would look on the 3 series GT can't find many pictures. Any thoughts? Bad idea? Good idea?

I can't recall seeing a yellow car that looked good to me.

Garage List
2020 BMW X3 M Comp  [0.00]

I had an Opal Manta that was yellow with a black roof. It looked like a bumble bee.
It wasn't that bad.

I've seen some nice looking Dodge Challengers with the Yellowjacket color scheme, but I can't picture a BMW looking good with it. We like what we like though so go for it.

A yellow F34? I guess it'll be unique.

Colour is a personal subject though. I wouldn't have any car in yellow. There are far nicer colours to choose from. But if you love yellow cars then go for it.

One thing to consider is you'll most likely get less for it when you sell it on due to it not appealing to as many people.

The closest you'll get to an image is a yellow F30 i would imagine. I think for it to work it would need other mods to compliment it like lowered suspension, 19 or 20 inch rims and tinted windows.

Perhaps not taxicab yellow, but BMW's Austin Yellow is very sharp and attractive to my eyes.

To the OP:
I owned a yellow & black Nappa leather 8 Series and can tell you, as a colour combination, it was something.
I'll happily admit not too many cars look amazing in yellow (the odd Ferrari springs to mind) & it isn't often I don't agree with Billfitz I must say, in fact I pretty much joined this forum thanks to his contributions, ...but there are some great yellow cars Bill.
Back to the topic: OP, I am intrigued by your suggestion. in case you proceed I am most certainly subscribed to this thread. I am v tempted to photoshop it for you, working all weekend but I'll try find time ASAP.

Little inspiration maybe?
Are people saying yellow is bad, /end of?

(those are all my 8er by the way)

Sadly missed. The gentleman that bought her garaged her immediately, when we'd agreed I wouldn't want to sell it to someone that didn't drive it often. Waiting for her to reappear, seeing as he's blanking my emails asking him to name his price. PArdon the off topic meanderings here but the subject is still quite irritating.

OP I say go for it!! But then, I would.

Photoshop, but a crap shade of yellow, pardon me

I like this car in yellow

ps: gratuitous black & yellow interior

Reference colour - Giallo would be the one to go for, rather than Dakargelb IMO

Certainly sounds intriguing, and I'd love to see the results if someone did it. Isn't this why wraps were invented? If you don't like it you can peel it off.
It caught my eye when that blue wrap showed up a few months back, esp since I had to give up blue for gray to get the GT.

That shop gives us an idea of what it would look like but I'd agree a softer yellow might be able to pull it off. 3m makes a yellow one that someone put on an M5 [youtube] which isn't too far off, screenshot from that below.

edit:A set of those competition wheels would really complete the look!
