Really glad that these will be available on the M2.
Just look to another light on a photo. They absolutly standart LED, without L shape.

They definitely are L shaped, are you saying that you do not think the ring shape is changing? I can't quite grasp what you are trying to say

The tail lights are also from the 4 series concept. BMW is clearly updating both the tail, and head lights to look like the 4 series concept.

Ok, but either way, the badge has been dormant so there is still no immediate need for the new one to outperform the old model. It does not succeed that defunct model, it succeeds the 328i.

Considering that the c45amg is around the corner i won't see anything less than 360hp for the 40i.
Others have already expressed it very eloquently: class leading power is not generally BMW's business plan. Class leading dynamics and overall performance are.

I suspect we'll get ~265hp for the 330i and ~330hp for the 340i - a bump of roughly 10%. There is still the possibility of an M340i later with more power, or they might save that for the coupe, convertible, Gran Coupe.

I see what you mean now.

But I believe that you can't see it in the other picture that you included because of the angle.

The horizontal part of the "L" is higher up than you think, making the camo over the headlight shift in front of your vision path.

And the headlights are very three dimensional so I think you can't see the horizantal part of the "L'" in the outside ring because the inner ring is in the way.

But you can clearly see that the squircles are no longer symmetrical, the right side of a ring is not as high up as the left side.

Hard to explain haha but that is just my theory, I could be wrong

I think the "L" shaped headlights designation is better reserved for the entire headlight (outer) assembly, i.e. what was recently spied on the G11. Actually, the G11 looks to have both "L" headlight outer shape, as well as inner "L" angel eyes headlight graphics.

Yeah 330i was always a peachy NA 6 turbine. It feels wrong that it'll be the name of a raspy 4 turbo. Doesn't sit right in my mind.

I'm all for more horsepower, but the F30 desperately needs some interior upgrades. Maybe a standard leather dash? Even replacing some of the hard plastic pieces would go a long way. Hell, if they would let me get saddle brown with m-sport, I might actually put BMW back on my shopping list.

Oh yeah, and improved steering too....

In 2030, will BMW still be removing LED tail lights for the first generation of the 3 Series? C'mon guys...this is just silly.

I actually like the pre-LCI E90 taillights better. I didn't like the LCI version, looked off to me.

Also, people. Get over the engine update. Your N20/N55 engine is still good. Do you really care what that number at the back of your car says? Do you really need that extra 30hp? Your car is still a quality machine.

I'd give it a few years, f30 came out in 2012, LCI 2015. f80 came out 2014, LCI 2017?

thats what I think.

I agree with your larger point, but I'd bet the new engines will also deliver a notable improvement in fuel efficiency and emissions reduction.

I didn't mind the pre-LCU tails...as long as they were blacklines but the red housing with the white marker/lens just looked weird too me because it removed the L effect.

Same start of production as F30 LCI. F82 updates come a year later, with the F32 LCI.

F30 LCI/ F80 LCI - Start of production July 2015 (2016 MY)
F32 LCI/ F82 LCI - Start of production July 2016 (2017 MY)

Looks like I'm holding off an ordering a 340i M-Sport now... And I guess I'm a sucker since I'll pay $1,900 for the Lighting Package
Makes me wonder why the M2 will debut with a tuned N55.
We'll see.

I bet it's a twin turbo.
