Yet another "My first oil change"....or EZ Oil drain on 328D x-drive

Two weeks ago, I bought a 2014 328D X-drive with 67,000km.
The car was well maintained and super clean.

I love the car and wanted to get the oil changed.

I picked up everything I needed:

Mahle OX404D Oil Filter
6L Penzoil Euro L 5w30 (LL-04) (5.2L needed)
EZ Oil Drain EZ-109 M12x1.5
27mm Oil filter socket
17mm socket and ratchet
Funnel
Oil pan
Blackstone sample container

On my other vehicles I typically use Fumoto oil drains, but after doing some reading online, I decided to to try an EZ Oil drain because it looked to have a much shallower profile.

I pulled the car up on ramps, removed the cover under the hood.
Then I opened the oil cap, removed the drain plug and filter.

Once the the oil was all drained, I packed a sample for Blackstone and installed the new filter.

I climbed underneath the car to look at the drain hole, the EZ-109 looked to be a close fit...but a little bit of the undercarriage protection was just a little to close to allow the drain to be turned into place.
I had read others had filed the opening, but decided to bend the opening with pair of channel locks. It need only a slight bend to allow the EZ oil drain to spin completely.

The low profile of the EZ-109 keeps it completely tucked away.

I refilled with 5.2L, checked the oil level and it is good for another 10,000km

So it looks like you installed a Fumoto (F106)?
