Thank you. I will try it. Any idea how to do it in a bmw e63 or should i go to the proffesional installer. My car doesnt have the combox bit it is worth a try if it will improve sound quality which is my main dislike about unit.

The sound quality is poor when the aux input is overloaded. Reduce input sensitivity and android output level. Simple as that.

I will definetely try it. Edit: i tried it beacuse i had output at 40 but sadly I didnt see much difference.

PA_MONITOR_ACTIVE is not an option in CAS2.C05 at all so I couldn't try it out. Maybe someone with newer version of CAS can check that. Also pressing volume/power knob on CCC when key is not present, doesn't do anything in my case - no screen, no sound, nothing.
Probably because you do not have MPM module !

And what exactly this micro power module dose? It's in the boot right?

Edit: ok, I quickly checked with TIS so now I know. But I think I do have it... anyway how does this help in this case?

CCC or M-ASK has always power upon unlock that for the CID and CCC powers up without ignition on.
The question is why our screen does not power on.
I am sure it is MCU and CAN related.

Yes, we can try to pressure Chinese to implement change of behaviour for power up and down procedure, but I doubt we will see this any time soon.

Hi guys first post. Got a Snapdragon screen at the start of the week. initially I was a bit disappointed but then flashed the newest firm and that made a significant difference. (Thanks kri). However today while on my first drive longer than an hour I noticed my screen starts to flicker. Has anyone experienced this before?

Doesn't sound right. Check the connetions. If it still happens, contact the vendor.

Sup everyone. Long ago since my last post. Went throug a few pages but it is to much to be up2date.

Could someone link me the newest working combination of Main, MCU and Factory_XML [Snapdragon - CIC HIGH]? I am still on Version 2.something

And are there some "must haves" or "must dones"?

I'm looking to get a 10.25 Android 9 unit in the near future - I have a 2012 F30, which is CIC. It has NAV and the combox (not sure if that makes a difference). I recently watched a video on YouTube of somebody replacing the CIC screen with an Android one, and it had a horrible stretched regular CIC screen. I know there's retrofits to update CIC to NBT, is there any way I can do this alongside the Android HU upgrade? The fact that it may be stretched/still be low res is putting me off the upgrade a little, as it'll completely ruin the OEM aspect of the upgrade. Cheers.

You need to code CIC to use bigger screen. Basically you have to tell CIC that it is using an 8.8" screen instead of 6.5".

Have you found any proper launcher since your review? Also, how do you select the Cars computer in these?

It's not a code. You have to code/program in different setting for CIC via OBD diagnostic/coding tool. That means you need a laptop, OBD cable, software package and knowledge on how to use it. If you've never done that before find some locally to you how can do it... or start reading bmw coding . com

There is also Carly for BMW (app and OBD bluetooth adapter) that allows you to code you car. But I don't have any experience with it.

welcome back

When you do come from from 2.x version, probably the best is to do a recovery factory/reset installation (1st page link), as alot changes/updates have come out since then.

Latest Software is 3.8.3
latest MCU is the November MCU GS_20191127, but folder is named GS_20191129 so don`t wonder about that mistake.

You can either use the V3.66 factory config, or the translated one from 1st Page link with some more gui`s activated.

Just put your bootanimation.zip (made like for every other Android system) into your thumbdrives OEM folder and wait some time, it will be imported automatically.

If I do it by bimmercode but I have not found what code I have to activate.
In display_variant I have activated breites but I do not have display_size_resolution in my cic to put 10.25_1280x480.
Do you know how I could put it?

I just noticed another new feature (probably) of 3.8.3 by coincidence

AUX does "Stay" at AUX when switching to OEM GUI (except pressing Radio Button) when Manual AUX Switching is selected at Settings !

They did the trick when AUX is selected and you switch to OEM GUI then they do an additional "switch back to AUX" , this is noticed because sound is off for a very short time and does come back from the Android unit.

What is your setup? CIC with nav or without? You need to have HU_ENTRYNAV in your car in order to "upgrade" to 8.8" screen. If you have HU_CHAMP2 it will not accept coding for 8.8".
