Missing screws?
Hey F32post,
I'm considering buying a 2016 F36 4 series but when looking underneath the car (that was supposedly never in an accident before) I have noticed an empty hole on the bottom side of the bumper. Was there supposed to be screw in that hole or is it empty like this from the factory? Could the screw have fallen off on its own or is this a sign of the bumper being removed/repaired/repainted? Thank you for your input! |

And yes, the bumper may have been removed, repaired and repainted. But I would first look towards the former if no evidence of the later. And yes, the bottom looks in great condition compared to most, which may lead to the later. |

Just an FYI, I don't think it is a screw, but rather a Plastic Fasteners..
Looking at the pic, looks like just 1 missing. Also to note, The Bumper is in NO Way connected to the car from any bottom screw. but rather other parts connect to the bumper. some of the Bottom screws and/or Plastic Fasteners connect to the belly pan. since in this car, the middle one is missing on the LEFT side, I say someone may have taken off the belly pan. possible dealer or shop. or Adding LED Fog Lights. Look at this video at the 1 min mark. This should be the same for F36. I would not be concerned. Last edited by BashShah; 10-19-2019 at 04:39 AM.. |

If memory serves me correctly, mine didn't have one there either when I was installing my front lip.
Might be "spare holes" to mount the OEM splitters. |
