Just got into the BMW world and noticed this thread. After looking at my NAV system I appear to be on the NORTH AMERICA Next 2014-2A maps. Would love to have any information or assistance on getting updates.

This may seem like a silly question - but I can't find it answered anywhere..

I have a CIC system (build April 2013 - so just missed the NBT). My car currently has MOVE maps - yet most links list PREMIUM.

what is the difference here, and which maps do I need?

MOVE Map means you have CHAMP2 Head Unit, not CIC. You need MOVE Map. PM sent.

I have 2013 F30 with Move 2013 maps and have been trying to upgrade to 2018-2 however it restarts whenever it gets to 32% am I doing something wrong?

If it starts, and gets that far, you do nothing wrong. Most likely CHAMP2 Head Unit needs firmware updated first.

I've got an 2017 i3 in New Zealand, it was imported from Japan. It qualifies for Japanese Map updates 2018-Next was what the server said based on my VIN. How do I get the latest NZ/Australia maps? Thanks in advance.

You cannot just install Australia NEXT Map. NBT needs to be converted to Euro Spec first.
