Parking break loud squeak
Hi,
I have a 2017 330e M sport with the M rear pads. I have noticed anytime I go to drive my car after it sitting with the parking break on for even a few minutes, once i release the handbrake and drive off(only in drive, not reverse) there is a very loud squeak from the rear of the car. Sounds like the brake has not released fully or something. Has anyone had a similar issue and find a solution? Frustrating that a 4 year old car has this sort of issue, thanks |

Brakes, including parking brakes, require periodic maintenance. Four years is too long a period. Have them looked at by a brake mechanic, chances are all they need is lubricating.

Assuming your 2017 has a handbrake with attached cable, that could be the culprit too. May need to adjusted, especially after four years of pulling on it to engage the parking brake.
