New style and what tires???
Hey all,
Thinking of changing my rims. I Was looking at the m4 rims(style 437M) I just wanted to know what tire size I should go and I would like to maximize(but keep things normal) so the wheel is closer to the wheel well(so basically it looks beefy) Bmw 440i xdrive Rim 437M Front: 19x9 ET 28 Rear : 19x10 ET 40 I know the default sizes for these rims are F: 255/35R19 R: 275/35R19 But these sizes I feel were meant for the m4 especially since it is RWD. But since I have xdrive i was thinking of this size F:245/35R19 R:275/30R19 If anyone has tried will there be any rubbing? Let me know if im wrong or this wont work. Thanks for the help. |

Have you considered doing 437m reps? That's what I ended up going with. Then you can get 19x8.5 et35 all around for a nice square setup of 235 or 245s. Or you can go with staggered 8.5 and 9.5.
The xdrive sizes you mentioned should work HOWEVER you will not get the beefy look. The diameter for those sizes (25.5 diameter) are both less than stock diameter(26) which will be further from the wheel well. Maybe do 245/40R19 and 275/35R19 which would put you at 26.7 and fill the wheel gap more. (might get rubbing in rear?) Or just go with reps and get normal non M4 sizes in there (235-245/40 square or 235/40 &265/35 is pretty ideal) Last edited by danperson1; 10-15-2019 at 11:21 PM.. |

Go for OEM 437m's if you can get them. Lighter forged wheels with deeper concave that won't bend like the Chinese cast replicas.
For F32 OEM, 255/35 265/35 looks great as aloha referred to. |

Also 255/35 & 265/35 is over 1% diameter difference which most people say you should not do on xDrive. |

OP, please read page1 and 9-13. https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...lack+m4+wheels
IMO, 235/40/19, 265/35/19 is best for x drive however limited tire brands and categories in this size combo, especially all season. 245/35/19, 285/35/19 will work but you'll have larger wheel gaps 255/35/19, 265/35/19 will work. since the 265 slightly stretched it reduces its diameter such that the combo is slightly below 1% since xdrives have large wheel gaps, lowering is recommended. lowering also induces a bit of negative camber and tucks the upper tire shoulder slightly, reducing some poke, especially up front. |

Not sure about "a lot cheaper". I understand you're trying to justify your purchase, but many times a used OEM set costs only $200-400 more than your new set of replicas. |
