So today I had popped my hood to just check on everything and realize the harmonic balancer has a wobble to it is this normal never noticed it before. A lot of what I saw on the Internet said yes but for peace of mind I figured I would put something up engine seems to run flawlessly. What made me want to pop the hood was yesterday I was doing some spirited driving on the back roads and went wot and my car pulled then for a second lurched forward really hard and then went back to accelerating. Scared the crap out of me after that I took it easy.

grab it and move it. if it moves its a problem. if not, don't worry about it.

Did try to move it and it wasn't moving at all thankfully going to let the engine cool down and take the intake off tomorrow and get a little more leverage and see if it'll do anything then.

Read this thread, check my videos and some of the others. I thought mine was wobbling too. Brought car in under CPO, they replaced the idler only and said the rest was normal. Even after replacing the idler, that looked the same.

From my experience if it's a bad wobbling it'll start making noticeable click/clink noises. The wobble is noticeable.
My old 2008 e90 developed a wobble and then started making clink noises, that was in 2016 at 60k. Fixed after replacing. When I took the old balancer out the gasket oring had collapsed on one side inwards and caused the wobble. A slight movement and no noises, I would say it's ok.

Gotcha yea doesn't seem to be a problem then no odd noises or anything just don't want the motor to go boom.
