My X3 is nearly at the end of its four year lease, so, I have the pleasant task of choosing the next car. I'll stick with the X-drive, for wet motorways and winter days, but now have the option to choose a regular 3-series, of course. Planning to buy it with my own cash this time (lease companies are a whole nother post!).

So - I am interested to know who's specc'd the various options, ideally on a 335d X-d, and which are really worth having!

I like the idea of a bit of a "Q" car - so will be going Luxury spec rather than M-sport, probably in Imperial Blue - nice and anonymous. But what to add - I want it to be specc'd around comfortable cruising, but good to drive. So I am thinking Pro Sat-nav, adaptive suspension, vision pack, HUD.

I apprecaite this is a bit of an open question - and I am expecting loads of contradictory thoughts and views. I have toyed with a 330d X-d - so also interested in views on the two engines - is it worth £3k for the extra "5" on the bootlid?
