Try Adrian Flux.

They do (or did) reasonable rates.

Garage List
Not sure if you would get away with it now but in the days of old there was always someone with a flat bed who would drop the car in the hedge 10 miles down the road if you had an issue!!!!

Have you had worthwhile cover from these? I have always found they stick a sky high excess on the policy which almost makes it useless. Maybe different on the Nurburgring where it costs a fortune if you take out armco and recovery, but on a local track there is nothing that you can really damage other than your own car.

The problem is they usually still have a ridiculous excess, like £6k! In which case unless you totally bin it you're still going to end up paying for it yourself.

So... my strategy has been to try not to bin it and keep my fingers crossed!

But after the 'Ring a couple of weeks ago I keep looking at E46 M3s and thinking about getting one for track use. At least if I binned it then loss would be somewhat limited...

thanks had a quote back from morris at 132 for the day and 1500 excess just waiting for others. Now the house build is coming to an end already starting to plan the same building or customising a car for track only use. Thinking actually a e36 most likely or a compact just for fun.

In general they will use a 10% excess which is not that bad , all it takes is a kink in your roof to really make the insurance seem good value and I have seen a few at Castle Coombe

This Saturday at bruntingthorpe, charity passenger rides for Asda. They do a big event to raise money for children charities. Gives a chance to try to vmax it on the runway and you give someone a ride and moneys goes to charity.

The ring is in two weeks time but for that will be using hire track car as plan is to push on

Wouldn't that be more of a problem for their medical insurance?
