Slight off-centre steering following ACS fit
i had my ACS springs fitted a few weeks ago (by Deutsch-Tech in MK) and I've noticed that since then there is a very slight tendency for the steering wheel to be left of centre when driving on a straight road. Has anyone else seen this?
I'm assuming it's the result of poor alignment following the fit, but I've had so many problems in the past with alignment on other cars that I'm reluctant to go back somewhere where they do it wrong. I might take it to a local guy I know who I've used before and trust. |

cant recommend DT MK highly enough but if you feel your having some issue then process of elimination, check tyre pressures and check the wheels are actually seated to the hub correctly first, it could be that one of the springs is not seated quite right. and i know that the spring kit can be fitted without requiring any alignment for the f30's.

No problem here with ACS springs fitted.
BTW, how are you finding the springs over the standard M Sport springs? Much improvement on the sdrive? Not sure if you did a review!

I had exactly this problem when Cooper Norwich did my alignment post ACS spring fitting, it took 2 more visits before they finally got it right!
They can just adjust one nut to correct it, mine was quite a bit out so they adjusted it 1/8th of a turn, which made it half as bad so I literally forced them to turn it another 1/8th which has been perfect! |

Yes, it's a definite improvement. Less floaty over undulations at speed, less roll on corners and less dive on braking. Slightly firmer ride, but not objectionable. Ride height lower and improves the aesthetics of the car IMHO. Looks fab, even on an F31. Very happy and I think it's money well spent (once the steering is straight!)
