Did you find out from your SA? What does the system say when you call BMWUSA? My car finished production on 10/12 and I hope it made it on Bess but until yesterday the phone system was saying "being transferred to port of exit" and this morning it said "waiting for shipping vessel".

Good luck. I guess mine didn't make it, which is surprising since it actually was finished on 10/10, not 10/12. They cannot ship it to the port in a week? Well, the next one is leaving on 20 but arriving on 11/18. An extra week of wait!

My twins are quickly outgrowing their infant seat and I cannot have rear facing convertible seat in a 2 door ;-) so I am counting weeks.
I ordered a 340i xDrive, Estoril Blue, Oyster Interior, Ash trim. Cold Weather, Driver Assistance, M-Sport and Track Package. 18'' Non-runflats, manual transmission. This was the biggest BMW I could get with MT (well, except maybe M5). What about you? BTW, since you are in the Bay Area chance is that you work for a bigger company. If you do, then check whether it has a corporate fleet discount with BMW. I will be getting an additional $1,500 off the negotiated price when I pick up the car thanks to that. |

The automated phone system is typically up to 2 days behind real time. That's why I've been calling BMW genius (rather than bugging my dealer all the time). Mine just changed this morning too to "waiting for a shipping vessel" via the automated phone system but that means it's now been waiting for up to a couple days and potentially could have gotten or at least assigned a ship. Call BMW genius when they open, 9am EST, and ask. That's what I plan to do. Hopefully their tracking system is back up (has been down for a couple days).

I am getting a 335 GT. I do not work for a big company so im not getting any discounts like that. The amount of space in the GT cant be beat without getting into an suv.

I agree, but you cannot get a GT with manual transmission and I really care about having one. I test drove Macan, for example, and it still handles like an SUV. The dual clutch transmission is interesting, the brakes are excellent but in curves it was poor. Probably it is the best handling SUV, but still an SUV and it is pretty small inside on top of that. Have fun driving your GT!

guess Goliath Leader went to Hueneme twice. My CA called yesterday and said it got off the boat the 19th but still hasn't reported to the VPC...I thought that was a quick thing to happen? 6 days from unloading and still not at the VPC....he said don't expect the car by the end of the month now so thats a bummer.
