LOTS OF PICS! My 335d is finally here after a 4 month wait...
Hi All.
People are always asking for photos so I thought I would do the right thing and post plenty for you to drool over :roll eyes: I think I can only add a certain number at a time so I may need to make multiple posts - Let me know if there's a particular shot you want to see and I will try my best to take one for you. The car is already fitted with my winter wheels and tyres (a bargain at £1300 ) so can't wait to bed them in. The weather was terrible yesterday but it gave me a good indication that the detailer had done what he had promised. The ENTIRE car was detailed and as you can see in a couple of the shots the water beading is very effective What was strange though, when I was sitting outside in my car reading my manual I kept hearing a funny noise - I then realised that it was the water sheeting off my roof and windows making the car almost dry...very weird! The only slight problem with my collection was that both my detailer and dealer missed the fact that there was damage to my steering wheel. If you look at one of the photos you can see a small nick / cut in the leather. It's right at the top of the wheel so now I know it's there all I can see is the mark! I only noticed it after driving off so I took it straight back to the dealer to show him. He will get back to me with a suitable fix soon... Anyway, hopefully these photos will help ease the pain for anyone still waiting for their new motor They're not the best images so hopefully my detailer has got some more 'detailed' shots for me to have. I've only driven the car for about 20 minutes since collecting it 24hrs ago (family emergency unfortunately) so I will provide a more detailed write up over the next week or so... One thing I did notice was how effective the adaptive lights are - AMAZING! The other thing to note was the potential turbo lag??? As some of you will know I've been driving around in a 330d loan car for the past month or so and I guess I've got quite used to that which I believe is a single turbo. It could be that I'm being hesitant because it's a new car but it didn't seem as rapid / responsive as I hoped for...I assume this will change after a few hundred miles or so though - Anyone else thought this too??? Please say yes In the meantime, ENJOY! |

Finally the eagle has landed! Congratulations!
The job on the detailing looks amazing.. I took my car for a wash today, it's under 2 months and I've noticed scratches everywhere! So upsetting, and to top it up I've noticed one of my wheels has a scrape on it, and I could swear it was not me, been ever so careful and with surround view at hand am almost certain it's not me, who could it be? The dealer when it went it for work last week, can't prove it though... I want a good detailer but I am in South London and wondering after you and rjberry had your cars detailed at the dealer, is it something they all can organise? I just don't like given the car to a 3rd party,.. |

Looks simply fantastic. glad to see you have finally got your 335d.
Not sure about turbo lag. no lag on mine, the pickup is instant to second you touch the throttle. Also you need hardly any throttle to poodle along around town. Maybe it's just different engine characteristics to the 330d or just the fact that it's brand spanking new.

Fabulous fully loaded car and in the best colour of course!
Are your winters a square set up or the standard wider back? Can't comments much on your turbo lag having a 330d myself. My own experience was that the auto needed to drop a couple of cogs rather than actual turbo lag. This is sorted by simply tugging the left paddle a couple of times before pressing on. But you would have found this in your 330d loner. I'm sure you'll get used to the engine / 'box combination. Look forward to your update in a few weeks - enjoy

Stunning, the detailing looks great.
I cannot confirm from experience but there's a lot of anecdotal evidence on here that suggests this engine will loosen up considerably over the first few thousand miles. Enjoy |

Looks great and the colour really seems to have come out in the photos, good job of detailing there! As someone else who seems to have gone through the 4 month wait I know your pain
Worth the wait though wasn't it
