Coolant issue?

Hello Bimmer dudes!- need your expert advice. Please read the following;

Re: 2015 435i xDrive Coupe

-A week ago I had to replace the upper expansion tank vent hose (did so with no problem).

-Added coolant/distilled water 50/50

-No issues until today.

-Today my check engine light came on. Code reader said it was a coolant issue.

-Drove it a while and temp gauge stayed pegged at lowest temp (150 degrees).

Any ideas what's going on?

Did you use a vacuum filler device?

Yikes...I did not. All my research didnt mention it so I missed it. What should I do going forward?

Did you run the coolant bleeding procedure to purge air pockets in the system?
