Chicago JB4 uninstall reinstall

An odd request I’m hoping someone can help with

Have a ‘13 335 sedan with the JB4. Did NOT hook it up to the ODBII port due to my insurance (Metromile) using that port, so have no ability to switch maps.

IL emissions due by year end..and I sadly don’t have the tools, patience (2 kids under 2!) nor the confidence to uninstall then reinstall it for emissions. Willing to compensate a local member to help me through the process! Also, Appreciate any general guidance on what needs to be done post uninstall to pass (drive a certain distance ??)

DM away or reply!!

Don't quote me on this 100%, but I don't think JB4 will have any affect on emissions in IL. As long as you have no CEL and haven't done anything with the cat to make it register as "not ready" you should be fine.

Interesting... that'd be amazing although I'd find it surprising! I'll have to give it a go.

Welp.. apparently illinois simply hooks up to the ODBII sensor and as long as you aren't throwing codes you pass.

Amazing

Did you just leave it on and go to Map 0? What was the process? Are you BEF (Back End Flash) or just JB4?

Anything F30 related you need, just let me know. 3 under 5, so I know the feeling!
