I have CarPlay and connect to an iPhone X and an iPhone 8 (wirelessly and one at a time)

The iPhone X works perfectly no problem.

Make a call via the iPhone 8 and every time CarPlay freezes.

Both are the latest iOS and there are no other issues with either phone.

Only way to unfreeze is disconnect and reconnect.

Any Ideas?

it's the fact that 2 phones are registered to the iDrive.. even though only one is connected at a time.. maybe there is still some underlying comms going on?

If you "unpair" the iPhone 8 I would assume all would be ok?

Have you done the latest firmware update on the iDrive? I think it has mainly updates for bluetooth and mobile phones..

The iPhone X is unpaired. Only the 8 is paired. It works perfectly but after each call it freezes totally.

Firmware updated 4 weeks ago, latest iOS.
