2018 330i / B48 Downpipe Install Experience?

I have found numerous videos of older models with NXX engines but none that are for the B48. Has anyone found a video to support DIY install of a catless downpipe on the B48? If not, but you have experience, how different is it from the Kies Motorsports N55 DIY video:

Thanks in advance!

Ok, so I figured out everything... except how to remove the upper brace bolt that holds the brace to the transmission. What is the technique because I can hardly get a hand up there from the bottom, let alone a ratchet. When I can get a ratchet on it, there's no room to ratchet left or right. What is the trick?

Maybe pickup a fine-toothed ratchet? One with less degrees between each tooth.

I may try that but the spacing honestly doesn't even feel like there is enough room for any noticeable movement. And even if I was using air tools, I don't think an air wrench would fit up there. One of my ratchets wouldnt even fit because the head was too wide.

What about a small torx wrench to break the torque?

I am not sure that would be long enough to get up there. I had to put an extension on my ratchet just to be able to put any leverage on it

Just to close this out, I ended up getting it using this combo: Socket > universal joint > 1.5" wobble > 10" wobble extension > 8" standard extension > 120-tooth ratchet.

Thanks ya'll!

Wow, that is one hell of a tool arrangement to get that bolt out. Good job!

Any chance you can post a photo looking into the stock downpipe inlet? Curious to see how restrictive the catalyst is.

Also, let us know what your thoughts are on the aftermarket downpipe performance. I think you're one of the very first to take this project on.

OP, what's your impression of the ER downpipe for your B46? Wondering about sound, smell, power, CEL, etc.

I got mine changed to a catless downpipe sometime ago but unfortunately the welder didnt do a really good job and apparently the flange cracked and decided to look for another custom downpipe and now it works perfectly...

Hi. How did you remove the upper brace bolt that holds the brace to the transmission. I saw there has 2 Troy bolts, only can see the button one, can not reach the top bolts. Also, how many parts did you remove? It's really a hard work - -
