Its new and many shops are still to find out about what bootmod3 provides to end customers, how it works, what they need to do and what they get out of it at the end of the day

There is a tremendous amount of interest but we only add shops to the authorized listing who have taken the time to go through the unlock process on a car local to them (or their shop car). This way an authorized unlock dealer is able to communicate with their end customers with first hand experience.

what is your requirements for being an authorized dealer? Being out here in hawaii, its a pain to try and send things over. I'm willing to have my car to be tested on, and may know a few shops here that are willing to do it.

Yes sir. bootmod3 is a flash tune, retains factory drivability but not performance no reliability issues that we know of.

So would I be able to have you guys make me a 93oct daily tune for a pure stg2, then just use my JB4 when I want to run some E40?

2014 N55 with pure stage 2, running 93 exclusivly.

I'm so sick of my JB4, I'm on my 2nd one and it's a pain in the ass to use. It did not come "set-up" as I was promised.

Very true. If you know a shop capable of safely flashing the DME and have a complete understanding of Tables for tuning...then reach out to them to contact PTF to become a dealer...

I talked to them last year but I'm no sales person to get them on board. They had said they plan to just stick with active auto's products. So not sure they are really invested to BMW platform.

Not sure why the setup is so confusing to me. I've had plenty of flash tuned cars that allow map switching. I think it's just the BMW platform

Is there an OTS map for EWG 91oct FBO yet?

I've seen some talk about track versions of maps. I'm assuming this if for people that do track days. Can PTF provide more details on that? I currntly run a conservative map 6 (JB4) with 101oct when doing track days.

So I plan using the 91 OTS map (as the lowest common denominator) with my current JB4 to adjust boost when I run e35 (my daily fuel) or race gas. JB4 will also be used for logging. So couldn't SSR Performance (they are local to me) do the unlock and initial OTS flash without me needing the all the stuff below in the pic?

Granted this would keep me from flashing the car back to stock or flashing updated OTS maps, correct?

For me to flash the car myself I would at the minimum need what's on the right side of the below pic, correct? Still waiting on iOS release I believe for Fseries N55???

Hey!

Yes we can unlock your DME and get it prepared for BM3.

Yes you will be able to get an OTS 91 Map through us and be able to load it onto your EWG F series N55.

iOS app is now released if you want to flash the maps yourself. The photo that you added to the end of your post is also correct, with either of those combos you will be able to flash your maps yourself. You are also welcome to swing by and have us flash them for you if you don't want to deal with doing it.

In short, all you need to get is a BM3 license. That includes 1 OTS map that matches your mods/octane and we send that to you over email once your DME is unlocked.

There are multiple ways a user can interact with bootmod3: Android bootmod3 app, iOS bootmod3 app, bootmod3 on the Web (https://services.bootmod3.net). All 3 of these offer the same end user experience and look identical. Any of these three at any time you can use, log in, view your maps/logs/run diagnostics and flash with.

In order to flash, run diagnostics, etc you have to run the OBD agent. It connects the car to bm3 servers and also makes the car available on local WIFI so you can access it directly for logging/dashboard. OBD agent can be run on a laptop or device. Device is just an alternative to using a laptop in the car, its smaller and easier to tuck away somewhere out of sight and not worry about. ENET cable connects from the OBD port in the car to whatever you choose to run the OBD Agent on (laptop or device).

So really the option on the right does not need an Android/iOS. The pic example on the right is just using the phone as a hotspot. The laptop can use any internet connection (home wifi in the garage, etc), correct?

Can you provide details on my other point:
