Another "weird noise" thread

Every time I turn on the AC in hot weather, I get this "whirring" noise that changes pitch with engine RPM in and out of gear. I'm assuming its the compressor because of this. Comes from behind the steering wheel, and it sounds awful. Anyone get this noise?

I get a whirring mechanised sound that raises volume with rpm only when i am in ECO Pro mode. None of the other modes produces this sound.

replace the HVAC motor, it'll go away...early production models seem to have this issue.

I have the same damn issue. Took it in and they could not reproduce the noise. Of course a day later, the noise is back. Especially when I'm in Sport mode

Is a constant noise for you?

I only hear it when AC is on, and on a hot day. Next time you hear it, turn off the AC, see what happens.

Turns out the a/c hose damper fixed it about 90%

Different question: when I push my AH3 (same engine as the 335) moderately to hard there is a rattle from the engine bay-is this normal induction/turbo sounds? Any reply by 335 owners is appreciated!
