best fuel for x28i?

hello all

I have a 428i GC coming next week (yay! 428i auto msport, MG/CR if you're interested).

What's the best petrol to put it? I'm in the uk, and we have a choice of 95RON or 98RON. Will I notice any difference in performance? I'm not worried about mpg.

ideas welcome :-)

Normal unleaded is good enough in the UK, anything else it hardly worth it

The manual has the specifics (when you get it), but 95 will be required, 98 if you want full power - probably only a matter of 10 hp and a bit better mileage.

I wouldn't worry about brand in the UK/EU; they're much more tightly controlled there than here in N.America.

Whatever is recommended in your manual. Turbos like higher octane however.

^exactly. Go with what manual says. As mentioned above , search the other monthly threads on this topic. You will get about 80 different "authoritative" answers.

The lowest in the UK is 95, the superunleaded is normally 97, the difference in price is from memory about 10p a litre, so over £22 more to fill it up, or $33

Most cars have a octane sticker inside the fuel door. Generally its not that hard to read.
