Dealer Damaged Aftermarket Wheels

Title says it all. Took my car in for regular maintenance and decided to get an alignment as well. Big mistake. My wheels are not even 2 weeks old.

I've already emailed my service adviser about it, but I doubt they'll do anything. Probably should have checked my car better before taking delivery.

Yeah...that is obvious damage from the alignment heads. Make sure when you bring your car to the next shop the have alignment heads that clamp onto the tire and not the rim. I think you would be able to prove your case with BMW aftermarket wheels or not. If the heads were sticking or wouldn't fully open, they should have backed your car off the rack!

Escalate that. Talk to your Service Director/Manager and get it resolved. Unacceptable.

Don't take no for an answer. They will try to minimize their liability, that's their job. But they also have protocol how to resolve things when they are at fault, you just need to keep the pressure on so they know you're not a pushover.

From the alignment as well. Tires and wheels are both less than 2 weeks old.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I'm going to see what my service adviser says on Monday.

Finally got in contact with the dealer today. They're repairing the rim and also replacing the tire.
