Luckily PayPal is not as shitty as eBay is where buyers really have the upper hand in more cases than not. Hopefully, it gets worked out and you at least either get the downpipe back (not in shittier condition than you sent it, but wouldn't put it past this guy) or keep the money.

You definitely should submit this thread or the responses or at least his original post at least for some evidence. It would at least show it's not a matter of him not authorizing the payment. Since he obviously had intent to buy from you, paid for it, and it now whining like a little kid on the forums for reasons that are all attributed to him being a moron.

Paypal should also take your pictures for the condition you sent it in if it ends up going that route. But if his reason was he didn't authorize the payment, definitely just get the PMs you guys shared or this thread, will help your case.

Best of luck to you though, good to see you got the backing of people here tho and no one listened to the 5 year old.

It feels like the OP should get banned, if even temporarily. Putting another member on blast for something unwarranted is pretty shitty, which seems to be the case with no response from the OP. I've heard of others getting banned for less.

Agreed. One thing I hate PayPal for is they automatically take the side of the "Buyer is always right". In my experience, they are not, and I've encountered similar tools like the OP.

Glad you got it back. You should refund him minus any shipping costs. Not show how paypal works in this situation but you went through the effort/cost of shipping him the part.
