A fine polish like you would use on your paintwork will remove scratches in the trim.

Managed to keep my piano black trim on my E46 in good shape which is 22 years old now, always cleaned it with one of those moist interior very soft interior paper towl. Never use dry paper on anything, I saw a car for sale not to long ago and I don't know what they used to clean it with but it looked like somebody rubbed it with sandpaper.. really ruined the otherwise spotless interior.

if you have this finish without scratches, always use a damp cloth. if, unfortunately, there are already scratches, first polish with finish paste
