Shops in Long Island for DME unlock

Who from the Long Island area has gotten their dme unlocked I have a 2018 340i but no one is willing to unlock it or they say they do not have the software to do it. There had only been 1 shop rk tunes and they had wanted 400 just for the unlock. Does anyone know of any shops on the island that can do it for a more reasonable price?

I’m outside of Philly and have the same issue. I’m going to just send mine to Kies overnight and hope they can get it back quickly. $250 plus whatever charge overnight shipping costs to them. They cover the return shipping.

I’m bummed because I have my Bootmod3 license, just can do anything with it yet on my 340 until the DME is unlocked.

Someone in another thread mentioned Twisted Tuning in Rock Tavern, NY. I’m not familiar with the area but it looks like at least a 1.5 hour drive for you.

I'm just outside Philly (on the NJ side) and had Kies do mine for my 440. I had my BM3 license for the past 10 months not being able to use it. SOOO glad I got it unlocked. I had been running a JB+ on the car for the past like 6 or so months which was a nice bump, but adding a catted downpipe and a stage 2 tune was a HUGE jump.

I wish Kies had a local drop-off service to handle DMEs. They could even charge more for the service and I think they would still do a nice business.

I’d be willing to pay a little more for an unlock if I knew I could make the drive there and it would be done in a few hours, then back on my way.

I know. I'm not that far from them so I'd be more willing to drive there and drop off the DME and wait for it. Don't want to go without the car and risk something happening to it.

Drive to brooklyn, BMCoding charges $250 and takes about an hr.
