Scratched bottom of M sport bumper
What can I do? Let a girl drive my f30 she jumped off the curb pulling into a driveway. Body shop? Something I can do myself? It barely shows if you face the car but under is a mess

Everyone does it. It will happen again. Don't sweat it if you can't see it.

I've done that to both my M Roadster and my 435 M-Sport. Both have low ground clearance. I have come to the conclusion that stuff happens. If it doesn't show much, chances are that you are the only one who will notice it. Does it suck? Yep. Is it the end of the world? Nope.

Sucks, done that a couple times now myself. Li OP said the underside of my fron bumper is really chewed up.
Had the worse experience last weekend. Parkinglot had mini parking stops that you have to essentially pull into with your front wheels touching else you aren't fully in the spot. I heard a slight scrap going over the parking stop but when I tried to back out the MSport lip pulled up 2 iron spikes holding the parking block in place. That caused a big problem as I couldn't roll forward or backwards at this point. It was either go home and get the sawzall to cut the spikes which were now embedded into the undercarriage protector or lift the car up. I was finally able to lift one corner while my wife pulled forward enough to get one of the spike free the was able to repeat on the other side. I was so pi$$ed. Got home and replaced all the plastice bolts and heated up the plastic with heat gun and essentially reshaped the plastic skid plate. My wife said I was more emotional over this incident thant I was earlier in the day when I found out my dad had to go to the ER. Anyway moral of the story, don't paint it you'll just end up dragging the front across something else eventually. |

Yeah it's going to happen to some degree no matter how careful you are.
Another reason to not valet park.

I scratched the underside of my rear bumper with a snow shovel the other day. Was really pissed until I realized the front bumper and the rocker panels were peppered with rock chips anyway. It helped me put things in perspective... Now the whole car sucks and I'll be getting a new one. Just kidding

If you can't see it.. then you can probably just let it go
Driving through some parts of SoCal (especially LA), I'm sure this won't be your only scrape. Just be thankful it's on the underside

My brother let his ex drive his car, who doesn't know how to drive, and she decided to take a turn into her own street pretty sharp and she hit the curb so hard that his car jumped a little. He called me when it happened and told me that he hit his rims pretty badly, in order to calm him down i told him that we would do a touch up on his rims that weekend. We did the touch up of plasti dipping at my uncles. when we were going back to LA from my uncles house we decided to take a pit stop at seven-eleven and while he was pulling in he hit the front of his car pretty badly to the abnormally high curb, the damage was pretty visible from any view you looked at his car. So we went to BMW and we bought touch up paint of the exact color of his car and we fixed the problem.
tl;dr: don't ever let a girl drive your car and also don't go crazy if you get it scratched you can go to bmw and ask for touch up paint. |

Words of wisdom from my father when I turned 16:
There are two things in this world you don't lend to people: your wife and your car.
