Dead instrument cluster ... now working
hi, issue with my 6 yr-old 335d. Last night went to drive the car, instrument cluster completely dead. Everything else good, but nothing at all in the instrument cluster. Set off this morning to drive to my dealer, again the cluster was still dead. About 10 minutes into the drive, it woke up, all the gauges etc now working. I have left the car at the dealer for a check, any ideas? Battery?
Only other info that might be relevant, I jet-washed the car a few hours previously, but have done that many times before. |

Driving up the M50 from South Wales yesterday, my idrive went off and did a re-boot.
It has never done that before. 335d March 2017 build.

An odd one. At first I thought it might be a fuse, and for most of the 5-mile drive to the dealer the cluster stayed stone dead, then spontaneously came to life. Has been fine since. Dealer found no fault codes and is puzzled by it.

Its happened to me about 3 times if i pull over turn car off and open door to fully shut down the systems then turn the car back on its fine. In the one instance i didnt do that it came back on after a min or two. Im assuming its a loose connection and didnt think much of it.
