The image quality / resolution is really bad on NBT-EVO... it's like displaying a low resolution image on a HD monitor... You see pixels on icons corners. The image seems to be stretched... The internal microphone Works but there is a lot or garbage noise when you try to make/answer a call ... I wanna say that the only thing that works is the audio part... Maybe that my module is defect... I want to know if you experienced those kind of problems with your CarPlay module (joyeauto/carlinkit or other brand...) Thanks |

I've given up on Unichip and replaced my original screen with an Android 9 screen where I can run Waze/Google maps/Spotify natively. No more CarPlay. I got fed up with the random disconnects which gradually started happening on the Unichip and I was unable to resolve.
Unichip support seem to have given up on this product and kept directing me to their wireless model, telling me it's much better. Anyhow, I'm selling my Unichip on Ebay if anyone wants one to disassemble or play with - just don't expect reliability! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/333385372837 |

Dragging this thread up from the depths for a pretty specific question, so apologies in advance.
I've had my Unichip unit for just over 2 years. Loved it, its been faultless. I'm switching to an Android phone. Is there any way of getting Android Auto functionality on this? I've read about these Autoplay USB adapters, that work with Android based systems, which the Unichip is... Has anyone ever tried this? Any alternative ideas, other than replacing the entire unit? |
