launch control 2013 328i?

I have been reading about launch control and am unsure if my 328i has it and how to try it. Here's some info its a 2013 m sport 8at build date in April 2013 how can I tell if it is available in the car and the steps to give it a shot.

Launch control is only for MY 2014.

Isn't it just because of the software upgrade ?
