Had Auto in the last 2 cars after a streak of a few manuals. Ordered manual on the F30.

Going from Subaru WRX manual to 335i xDrive MSport Auto.

I bought my car so I'll be keeping it for a long time. We'll see if it was the right decision, kind of just tired of the manual to be honest. Then again the WRX is 10 years old.

I have driven only cars with manual transmissions for at least the past 15 years, most recently an E90 335 6MT. I decided to go AT for the F30, mainly so that my wife would be able to drive the car (she's never driven my car for as long as we've been married... and yes I realize this may sound ideal to some). I just thought I'd give AT a shot. Do I miss the MT? Yes, a bit. Do I missi it terribly? Not really. The 8AT is a great transmission, and the paddle shifters work nicely.
