DIY help M performance pedal covers

I know this sounds funny, but I have a few questions on installing these pedal covers I just received. It seems as if I don't have the correct ones bc they're not fitting right and have a few questions. Can anyone that has done this with success help me or post DIY pics? I have the footrest M cover from factory. I ordered the pedal set and it came in last week and I attempted to install it last night but the hardware doesn't seem correct and it doesn't make sense. I feel stupid, but I have to be doing something wrong here. I clearly see the gas( long pedal cover) has adhesive that sticks it on. It also has two places for screws but there is no place that I see where the screws would actually screw into anything. The factory gas pedal is plastic and doesn't have a rubber cover to remove like the brake pedal does. Am I supposed to simply just stick it on over the existing gas pedal and not worry about the screw? That seems it wouldn't look right and you would be ale to see where the empty screw holes are? Or, is there a way to take the factory gas pedal cover off( doesn't appear to be a cover though for the gas pedal like the brake pedal has.

On the brake pedal , I removed the rubber cover that comes from the factory no problem. However, if I insert the 3 screws and nuts to hold the metal cover over the new rubber pedal cover, the 2 screws on the left side that would hold the metal cover on would be too long and just simply hit and scratch the medal brake pedal.

I feel retarded and can't figure out what I'm doing wrong or if I have wrong hardware. I'm normally good at this type thing but scratching my head on this one. Any help is greatly appreciated.

If I remember correctly, I had to remove the original rubber cover, put on the new one and drill the holes into the metal brake pedal accordingly and then place the metal plate on top to install. For the brake pedal, use the three nut and bolts provided.

For the gas pedal, clean the original pedal and apply the sticky side to it, nothing needs to be removed beforehand. You will need to drill holes into the gas pedal too, but make sure that it is using a smaller drill bit than the screws provided so that it catches.

I think the link provides retrofit instructions as well.

The second video is what you need to do. And, as stated above you need to drill. Buy a carbide trip to drill thru some metal. It takes awhile.

Finished install

Thanks for everyone's help. Shortly after posting this, I realized I ended to drill lol... Handled it pretty easy after this. Drilling took a little time on brake pedal, but otherwise pretty easy install.
