Well I went for a quick run this week with just my AW using runkeeper and I’m really very unimpressed with the gps tracking!!
Below in red is the route it thought I took, and I’ve drawn in blue where it went badly wrong |

Looks like a poor sampling rate. Can you configure it to be more frequent? Some sort of activity mode? That's how it works on my Android.

For those of you with an Apple Watch, have you bought a screen protector or case to protect it?
If you have any recommendations/ links would be appreacited! |

They also told me the sapphire is very very hard but also more likely to shatter than the ion-x, I went for the lighter alu gps/cellular one for running, so will probably be getting a cover for the ion glass. Plus the alu one was £££ cheaper. |

Apple Watch Screen Protector, JETech 2-Pack 42mm Premium Tempered Glass Screen Protector for Apple Watch (42mm) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00WSBBV5W?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf Using this. Came next day, easy to apply and very thin so doesn't look too out of place. Along with the watch case it works well! |

Birthday gift to me from my sisters a while ago. I wouldn't have bought one but I really like it.
I can make and take calls. Stream music. The downside is you need to buy a data plan as it has an internal SIM. Sharing data is not an option. The internal SIM is of course required for the times you want to use it for data purposes in the absence of your phone. EE: Data is 5 pounds a month for 10gb. Free for first six months. The other option is to set the watch so it uses data via your phone but not in a sharing way. You need to have the phone near the watch so you can access apps without an additional data plan. The only downside is you cannot make calls from the watch in this case but only receive them. My favourite feature is the health stuff. I am no fitness freak but can track heart rate during work outs, number of steps walked... Battery use is okay. A full charge gets me through a 18-24 hour period without heavy use. It does however, require charging each night. So that is a pain if you are out and about. You need to carry the additional plug in magnetic charger wire unless you have a wireless charger. I am enjoying it though. My wedding watch broke. That Hugo Boss served a decade. Would I recommend the watch? If you like your toys and gadgets then yes my opinion has changed. There is an impressive mini purge pump built in to expel water. Nifty feature indeed! My bro in law has the Garmin abs I think that is better for runners and training. |

Has anyone else found since the last software update that their watch has become slow and clunky?
Mine used to work really softly, and since the last upgrade it's slow and clunky. Particularly when going to record an activity e.g. Down the gym. Scrolling through the different options it seems to get stuck and often when trying to start recording the activity the screen doesn't respond. Have to press it several times before it responds. It was perfect until bloody Apple interfered with it! |
