We have a bathroom being done currently. Started 12th Nov, should have taken three weeks. Ordered some good quality bits and pieces and the most expensive piece was the bath - a made to order steel one.

Bath arrived, looked awesome, tried to fit bath, not possible due to the options specified not actually being compatible. UK didn't flag it, Germany didn't flag it, factory in Germany made it, QA didn't flag it. Cue us getting a bath that shouldn't have been manufactured, let alone left the factory (and was never going to work).

Only option is to wait two weeks for a new one made to measure WITH the options we wanted - a custom bath at no extra cost, we were happy with this.

Bath arrived today - the fucking idiots haven't drilled the overflow hole. WTF?! How is that even a thing?

Now we have to hope our fitter can drill it (once he finds the diamond tipped bits he needs) without chipping the enamel otherwise it's a new bath (again) and they only have one week left of production before they stop for the year.

Incompetent fucking cunts.

Do you even need an overflow? That enamel WILL chip when you attempt to cut a hole in it.

For what it’s worth you can get re enamelling redone.

In laws had theirs done and the guy did a pretty good invisible repair.

Hope you don’t need it
