Well it's 15$ vs 125$. I still haven't had a CEL with my 15$ spacer yet after over 2k miles of driving. Choice is yours

Great tutorial! You saved me a lot of time. I didn't have the expansion tool so I spend majority of time trying to get the mid section on. I used the L spacer as well. However I am getting a CEL. Is there anything I am forgetting to do that's not mentioned in this tutorial?

Figured out the issue. The spacer DOES work. One of the o2 sensor pins was bent when I plugged bank 1 back in. It was bank 1 throwing the CEL.

Almost a year later and still no CEL? I don't have a b58 , I have a N26 but that's amazing

JB4 turns the fuel gauge into a boost gauge under certain circumstances, like flooring it.

Guys how is your MPG now with downpipe fitted.

Had rs4, with dp and it takes much more petrol.

I am thinking of fitting dp in 540i but I am unsure now.


Btw: anyone with b58 have checked emission ? How much goes up.

Rs4 was over 4x times higher and you could smell fuel from exhaust.


DP will be arriving somewhere next week for 540i b58.

I have the CG Downpipe and was getting a code error reading when I checked through my jb4 and occasionally a light on the dash. O2 spacer made both go away.

If properly installed, you won't notice any smell at all unless you're in bumper to bumper traffic on the highway with your windows down or are idling in your garage.
