Powder Coated Rims
I decided to pick up a set of 415 rims and had them powder coated Kingsport Grey. I wrapped them in new Continental Pure Contact LS. I think the color looks good. Depending on the sun angle they look anywhere between dark grey and light grey. The wheels really change the look of the car. I had the stock 395 rims. Next move after winter I think I am going to add the carbon fiber mirror caps.

Obviously he likes them. Just pointing out resale value if painted. And that goes for all OEM Wheels.

I do like them. I still have the stock wheels in my garage. Also given the cars current resale/trade in value I doubt I would get much for it anyways. I already have 36k on it and am warranted through 100k. At that point who cares. I shared the pictures of a slight mod I did on my car. I did it for me and not for resale. I thought that is what we did on forums, share

And yes, we share info for people considering doing same....so one does not end up in unfortunate position as this poster who found out the hard way. His wheels should sell for 50% more than this and he cannot find a buyer after months. https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1537773 |

Dig the look! I always liked those turbine wheels, favorite of the non-sport model options for sure. Nice color choice.
From my experience in the Northeast used OE wheels become very cheap even after just a couple years of use. Our roads are so bad up here they tend to get bent which is a real value killer. I've had to get two of mine straightened already and the others are bent too, just not as severely. My Indy told me he contantly has 3/5/X series cars in for vibrations to find their inner lips with bad flat spots, definitely something to really look out for.
