Doesn't the Alpina have the same adaptive dampers as your previous car, but with better springs and software for the dampers?

Are adaptive dampers the same across the f3x range whether it's x drive or m sport. It was just that x drive had se springs?

Think they are based on the same carcass but rebuilt with different internals and revalved , uses alpinas own ecu/ software , eibach springs and there own bump stops/secondary springs. That was the sales talk.

This makes sense, as I can't imagine software alone could make the difference. I've driven one Alpina, an E90 B3, back to back with the e90 330d I owned at the time. I couldn't get over how much better the suspension was on that car. It was partly not having runflats, but the quality and sophistication of the damping was extraordinary in comparison.

I am now looking to splash some cash on next mod... what would you choose.

- ACS Dampers
- ID6 retrofit (currently have ID3)
- 6WB
- DRC DMM 19 alloys (19 by 9 and 19 by 8) so better figment on standard sized tyres. I currently have DRC DMF which is 8.5 and 9.5 wide.

Think dampers are probably best option? Thoughts?
Depends whether you prefer driving or cruising. If you want to enjoy the capabilities of the car, then it's dampers all day long.

Renewal time is worst, with the question is it modified? I normally ask can I email the spreadsheet! Most still insist you go through it on the phone 😳
