What is this part? 2014 428i

Does anyone know what this part does? I have googled the various numbers on the tag but got nowhere. It sits right behind the rear diff and is attached to the rear sub frame. Pics below, side of part with sticker and from beneath looking up. Thank you in advance for any input.

It's a mass damper. Basically just a weight bolted on to damp certain vibrational frequencies.

Thanks for the reply. So it dampens Sub frame vibrations that accrue from suspension movement etc..?
