F30 N55 Drivetrain Malfunction (faulty turbo)

I have a 2012 F30 335i N55 that started giving me the drivetrain malfunction issue a little while ago. 112k Miles and the only tune is a BMS Stage 1 plug and play. Finally got the car into an Indy and here are the results.

Fault Codes
122108
120308
108F01

The specific diagnosis was:
Found fault 122108 blow off valve stuck closed, found fault 120308 charging pressure control plausibility: pressure too low. Found fault 108F01 leakage between exhaust turbocharger and intake valves, found turbocharger wastegate very loose, found faulty turbo assembly.

From what I am told I will need to replace the whole turbo and the shop is asking $3,700 total. I started doing some research and was thinking about going down the PURE Stage 1 turbo route and just doing the job myself to save money. Pure 1 turbo itself is around $1750.

I’m curious if anyone had these same issues and were able to fix the car without replacing the turbo?
If I do need to replace the turbo anything else you guys recommend while I’m down there?

Any other advice or thoughts?

Thanks!

Consider your goals for the car. You're at 112k, do you want to keep the car for a long time?

Also consider if you are capabile (skills, time, and tools) of doing a turbo swap/replacement.

In that context, also consider if you want to just find a good used PWG turbo, which can probably be had for pretty cheap.
