I think the photograph shows the area between the front door drivers side and the left front wheel. I would say that it's the F30 M335d/i . However not sure of F30 given the fact that Scott said it's a new era. Then it must be 4 Coupe/Cabrio. But wheels look small for the 4

Well, I am open minded about both new BMW product lines (4 series) and new BMW powertrains (FWD).*

I think it's the 4er. Like someone said, looks like the front left wheel (drivers side) and that black object looks to be that "L" mould (the fender) found on the 6er. And if you believe that the 4er renders were supposed to closely follow the 6er, it makes sense.
