I was on a several hour drive and mid way through a message popped up asking if I wanted to reboot navigation after an install had completed. I said yes and a couple of minutes later all was back. Not sure what changed, but at least it all still works.

When I looked on the BMWUSA site with my VIN, the versions were all a lot older than this - at least as noted in the PDF.

Kinda hard to know what's new/changed in any of this and if I should care!

Updated to the latest media and telephone versions, just went to BMW software update online, entered vin, agreed, dowbloaded bin file, moved to an old USB drive, placed in glove box, updated software. No issues.

Does anybody know if UPD05074 is the latest update for my 2014 335i? I'm wondering if the dealer maybe updated to a newer version or if I am even on this version (bought the car CPO in December). I really hope there's a newer version because the bluetooth is borderline crap with Apple Music

There isn't an update you can do through the usb, but you can get the istep updated at the dealer. My 14 335i is on 3.something for media/telephone.

I tried updating the entire car's istep version through ISTA-P and everything updated but kombi, AMPH, and HU_NBT. I don't know why these failed, but from what I've heard it'd not worth the effort to do it yourself.

The dealers have a lot of new versions. I know that because I've made a lot of SW updates on my X5 2014 NBT.

The files on bmw.com/update are very old and there is no official word why they do not upgrade them.

I've noticed that too over the last week. It worked about 4 weeks ago, so I'm assuming there's some backend issue at BMW.

Same here, in addition in the connected drive portal under map update the selection for local map region is not available either. Seems like BMWs poor technology infrastructure is getting worse...

U can easily update it urself by flashing ur head unit with esys n psdzdata full (the latest) n proper power supply or hook ur car up to another running car. It's easy but whenever flashing ecu's there comes a small risk of bricking but did it myself no problems.

FYI, I just checked and bmw.com/update is now back up and running. It recognizes my VIN and provides the update file.

Some advice Would be appreciated. I have tried update the software on my car but when I go to check the current software version its blank. And when I copy the latest version onto USB stick and plug into the car nothing happens when going on the upgrade software page.

Which USB port are you using?

On my 2013 F30 I had to use the one under the centre arm rest.

FYI, UPD09041.BIN is available now for certain vehicles (including mine) but I get the error that the software is not compatible with this vehicle... :shrug:

This exact same thing happened to me, about a month ago.

Not sure what the changes were, but when I bought the car new (in May), I was having some Bluetooth connectivity issues. Now the Bluetooth seems to work flawlessly.

I've updated my 2013 320d(x) yesterday. Until recently the website was showing me the UPD05074 (90.1 MB) file, yesterday I downloaded the new one.
But the bmw.com/update website is down at the moment, lol.
