Hi, I have an m240i and when I try manually downloading the maps it also says it can't find any. Anyone know if you can manually download them if you also have over the air updates as well?

I had the same issue too, VESEL0008, and contacted them. Not surprisingly they said it was a known issue and are working with the HQ in Germany about it. No ETA unfortunately. They suggested for me to get the updates from the dealer. I'm still inside the 3 years free update so I have booked an appointment.

ahhh thanks for the heads up. It worked in mid December but since then no dice.

I still have a year or so left on mine.

It might take them a year to remedy the situation. I received an email from BMW Group this morning stating that it should work now. Nope ... it did NOT!

Only a week last time. If memory serves me correctly, they had to stop distributing the NEXT Map due to an error, so that may have played a part.

Would be nice if they could give an update, but just get the standard answer from them "It's been passed to Germany".

This is my second Beemer. I have no confidence in dealers except for warranty work. I use an unofficial BMW specialist service centre and have done so for many years. I have had great service from SouthernBM (SouthernBM.com.au). CBS is the most dangerous approach to car maintenance, but it saves BMW Group money, but ends up costing some owners (usually second+ owners).
I don't think BMW Germany are very good on IT. They are losing sales.
