Hi,all,gone back to an iPhone,the Galaxy S8 I had refused to play nicely with my car,very impressed but as per need more! I'm not able to have CarPlay enabled and I don't want to go down the Avin/Ugode/Bimmertech route but would like phone ringtones to play through system and be able to read messages,is it fairly straightforward to code them? V.worried I could totally screw up the car. Looked at the BimmerCode app and it looks fairly easy....?

Do you have advanced bluetooth on your car? If not you might be able to enable it with bimmercode. Once enabled you can already read messages over bluetooth on your car. I do it with an iphone 7 and no coding was required. I never looked in to ringers, don't care enough to bother

Don't think I've advanced BT,can only have one phone connected plus I prefer to connect with USB. Guess it's probably left alone. I think I've asked this before but can you code in split screen?
