Removing F32 M Sport Side Blades

Now then, this is not as a silly question as you may think.

I've had them fitted to my car for approx 14 months, they are genuine BMW M Performance Side Blades supplied with plastic rivets with a hex head on them and double sided tape ...now then

To remove the blades from the car would I have to drill out the plastic rivets as I recall the rivets didnt have a thread on them, they are not the commonly used pop rivets or sometimes called blind rivets

..any ideas

If they’re expanding rivets then you pull the middle part out and the the main part of the rivets will just pull out.

Could just take of the whole sill (11 torx bolts IIRC) and snip the rivets from the back.

They are single use rivets. Praising them out may stress and bend /damage the sill. The blade is also held with adhesive tape so you will need to separate that somehow too.

The rivets can be reused as long as you don't damage them when removing. As above, just prise the centre of the rivet out using a flat head screwdriver or fastener remover
