My car has been making this noise for about 3-4 weeks now. I have no idea what it is. The best way to describe it is sounding like a cartoon UFO... It is a cross between a whirring / whining sound.

The car only makes the noise when I am moving. Sounds like it's coming from the front/passenger side, but it's hard to tell exactly when I am moving. Does not make the noise while in idle or when revving in place.

I took the car to my local BMW dealer last week. They said they've never heard a BMW make this noise before, but they suspected it was early stages of a bad wheel bearing. They replaced the wheel bearing over the weekend. I picked up the car yesterday, and it is still making the noise.

Has anyone ever heard this before? Noise starts at 0:06 in the video.

Does it happen at all speeds? Sounds almost like a warbling whistle sound, possibly caused by wind going through/over a bad seal or something?
